Justizpalast Germany

The Justizpalast (Palace of Justice) are two courthouses in the style of Baroque Revival architecture in Munich, Germany. Architect of this building was Friedrich von Thiersch. It was completed in 1897.

The photo of the staircase above was taken in the central hall.

Besides visiting this place for photography purposes only, please take your time to deal with the history of Nazi Germany. Nowadays Room 253 is a memorial place for the "White Rose" whose members were sentenced to death here by "Blutrichter" Roland Freisler.

Travel Information

The metro station (U-Bahn) "Karlsplatz (Stachus)" is next to the main entrance. It is served by the lines U4 and U5, Tram 16, 17, 18 and 27 and all S-Bahn-Trains.

Opening hours:
Monday to Thursday: 9.00 a.m. - 15.00 p.m.
Friday: 09.00 a.m. - 14.00 p.m.

Between May 1st and July 27th 2020 the memorial place for the "White Rose" is closed!
