The Cathedral of St. Mary and Cecilia was the cathedral of the former Roman Catholic diocese of Verden. After the introduction of the Reformation in 1568 until the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 it was the seat of the Lutheran prince-bishops. Today it houses the Lutheran cathedral parish in Verden.
