This observation tower, built in 1909, is one of the highest view points in the Palatinate Forest.

You can go here for sunset or sunrise because of the 360°-view. The tower is a good opportunity to go to at very foggy mornings. Due to the fact it is build on one of the biggest hills of the Palatinate Forest, chances are good to stand above the fog.
