Travel Information

Vestrahorn is about six hours drive from Reykjavík, however, making it slightly too far to reach and return from in a day. It can only be reached by car.
The land is privately owned, so you must pay to get access to the beach (about 2000isk per person).
There is a bed and breakfast (The Viking Cafe) where you can buy the tickets to the beach or you can book a room if you'd wish to sleep there hunting for the Northern lights.

Thank you Marcelo, I appreciate your words. I joined this community as it helped me a lot discovering places I didn't know existed, so the least I can do is to repay the favor to fellow photographers who are helping keep the community alive. All the best!
