Arakurayama Sengen Park in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture is one of the best places in Japan for shooting the amazing natural beauty of the iconic Mount Fuji.

Photography Tips

On our second day in the small village of Fujiyoshida, we had clear weather and could see Mount Fuji. After thousands of stairs we arrived at the top of the Arakura Sengen Park and were rewarded with this great view - unfortunately without snow on the top during the summer months.

The best months to capture the Fuji are spring and autumn as summer is a rainy season and usually the weather is very cloudy so it's not possible to see the Fuji from the top.

Travel Information

Shima Yoshida is the nearest subway station. It's about 20 minutes walk from the Fujiyoshida main station. The walk to the top will take u about 20 minutes.
