If you look for an easy-to-reach spot for photos of northern lights within the city limits of Tromsø, check out this nice little beach in the southern part of the island. If you walk along the shore you'll find even more subjects for photos during the daytime or in the evening.

Travel Information
A spacious parking lot is available nearby. After 18:00 local it's for free. The signpost on the ring road says "Friluftsmuseet" or "Folkeparken". If you want to use the bus, take route 34 and disembark at "Folkeparken".
