The palace itself is one of the most beautiful architectural sites in Europe, being surrounded by a luxurious garden designed in a unique way. From my point of view, despite Pena Palace(the colorful palace of Sintra) is the most popular spot in the area, Quinta da Regaleira offers a complete experience of style, nature, mystery and history.

Travel Information

Sintra is a village situated in the mountains, near Lisbon. It can be reached by train from Rossio Railway. The journey takes about 1h. Quinta da Regaleira can be easily accessed by foot, but it comes to my mind that during hot summer days the bus could be a better option.
