The Torre Glòries, as the Torre Agbar is now known, has become a beautiful landmark, especially when it is illuminated at night.
The Agbar tower can be found on the corner of the Carrer de Badajoz / Avinguda Diagonal. In the evening, in the darkness, the tower shines in the most beautiful colours.
The outer skin of the building is fascinating.
The 16,000 m² facade consists almost exclusively of glass and aluminium. The building has 4,500 windows, of which 4349 can be opened. 56,000 glass fins with a size of 120 × 30 cm aligned at different angles are also appropriate. In total, 16 different positions reflect the daylight and sunlight differently at each setting.
Since the company AGBAR is also the building owner, this office complex was named after it. The head office of the holding is also located on one of the 32 floors of the tower. The tower is not open to the public but you can at least look around the entrance hall once.
