Built to commemorate Jefferson's societal contributions such as the Louisiana Purchase, Lewis & Clark explorations, and goals of limiting banking power. Located on the DC/VA border.

There so many good angles of this unique structure, nearly any time you go you'll be able to capture a good shot.

Numerous ways to get there. From Crystal City in Arlington, VA: Locate the fwy overpass adjacent the Pentagon. Next to the fwy offramp, there's a path that runs parallel to the fwy. Follow the path, cross the fwy on the foot path that leads to the Jefferson. Take a "hop on hop off" bus that goes directly to it. Would not recommend driving there. You could also take the nearest subway and walk a short distance (DC).
