Sadly, the trail that once led from Observation Point down through Echo Canyon and finally to the canyon floor at the Weeping Rock trailhead is no longer possible due to a massive rockslide that demolished the trail above the canyon floor. It’s still possible to get to Observation Point via the East Rim Trail. From the looks of the rockslide, it could be years before the trail up the canyon wall will be rebuilt, if ever. That said, the park engineers are amazing, so you never know.
