Antarctica Glacier Slope Portal Point
Portal Point is a small landing site on the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, once used as a British refuge hut location during early expeditions. Today, it’s a popular stop for expedition cruises, offering easy shore access, gentle snow slopes, and scenic views over Charlotte Bay.
Photography Tips
Look for contrast in colors if you want to have a subject hiking in the frame. The colors in these landscapes are mostly rather grey and blueish, so any other contrast helps popping out the subject.
Travel Information
This is considered a rather easy landing site due to its mostly calm waters, shallow access and easy gentle walk on snow hills.
