Between the reservoirs of the Rio Atuel, the water flows in pipes; in the canyon, the river is mostly just a trickle. The canyon, however, is gigantic. It is 45 km long. In my opinion, this is one of the most scenic area in all of Argentina.
From this dam and a few hundred meters north the views are magnificent.
