Argentina Historical buildings near Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires
Plaza de Mayo is the historic heart of Buenos Aires and one of the most important political and cultural squares in the country. Surrounded by beautiful and historic buildings such as the pink presidential palace Casa Rosada, the neoclassical Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral, and the historic Cabildo of Buenos Aires, the plaza reflects centuries of Argentine history. Walking across the square feels like stepping through the country’s past, where grand architecture, monuments, and political history all come together in one iconic place.
Photography Tips
I used the 4x zoom option from the iPhone 17 Pro and it works pretty well. Shoot in RAW and use the manual settings for more possibilities in the edit afterwards. I used my iPhone for safety reasons and can show you that the technology works pretty well next to big cameras.
Travel Information
Getting around is easy because "Uber" is widely available and usually cheap, making it a convenient option for visitors. During the daytime, walking is generally fine in many areas, especially in central neighborhoods and tourist districts. However, like in many large cities, it is not recommended to carry big cameras or expensive equipment openly, as this may attract unwanted attention. For smaller streets or traveling at night, it is safer and more comfortable to take a car service such as Uber instead of walking.
With a bit of awareness and common sense, visitors can enjoy Buenos Aires safely while experiencing everything the city has to offer.
