The beautiful scenery in the valley driving up to Noravank is gobsmacking. Late at night or early morning when most tourists are back in Yerevan, the atmosphere is incredible.

Photography Tips

Walk up the hill behind the monastery so you get the red rocks as a background. To avoid crowds stay at the hotel next to the monastery. You‘ll have the place to yourself later in the evening.
