Armenia prides itself on being the first country to adopt Christianity (301 AD). There are many churches and monasteries that have been built, dating back to the 10th Century. (Wikipedia).
This monastery is a UNESCO world heritage site. That, added to its scenic location makes it an excellent photo spot.

Photography is pretty straightforward here. A clear day is good if you want to be able to see the Lesser Caucasus range in the background.
