Glen Helen is really the 2nd stop to stay on the road from Alice Springs to Uluru. This image shows the mountain range with the river that moves through the mountain range a bit further down. This was taken at sunset with the sun cascading along the escarpment.

Parking near the spot you need to book the accommodation as it can be booked out. You can camp but again a good idea to book. This is a great spot to base to see some of the other spot along the West MacDonnell Ranges.. Located about 1.5 hours west of Alice Springs
