This site is easy to get to andoffers a fantastic location to shoot the night sky. I does suffer from some light polution, but this can be used as a feature rather than a hinderance. It can be very busy if there is an interesting astronomical event happening (aurora, eclipse, meteor shower etc).

Photography Tips

A tripod is necessary. Shoot as wide and as open as your lens allows. Long exposures will flatten out the water and give everything a nice soft feel.

Travel Information

This site has easy access and a reasonable amount of parking, however it does get crowded during astronomical events.
