Australia Lake Ballard Statues
Lake Ballard is the location of many statues by international artist Antony Gorman. These statues are located at various places across Lake Ballard, a salt lake located about 50km west of the town of menzies in the Western Australian Goldfields.
Photography Tips
Wide angle is your best friend here. Don't forget your tripod. Drop your aperture to it's smallest setting (biggest f number) to get he statues and background in focus.
Travel Information
This is a very remote area wiothin the Western Australian Goldfields. A 4WD is required to get to this site. Be aware that the summer tempratures are regularly more than 45°C. Take sufficient water.
If you plan to look at all of the statues allow for 5 -6 hrs and ensure you are carrying AT LEAST 5 litres of water for EACH person!
