Austria Castle Grub, Obertraun

The Castle "Grub" was built in 1522 and reconstructed 1868 in the "romantic" style it has now. It is private property, so it can only visited from outside.

Photography Tips

There are two possibilities to take shots of the castle: either wit a telelens (as I did) from the opposite side of Lake Hallstatt or from a boat.

Travel Information

I took this shot from the parking facility No. 3. As far as I know there is a hiking path at the east side of the lake that passes the castle on it's backside.
