It´s very old, you can find a lot of history. It´s located on a hill overlooking the city of Burghausen and down to river Salzach. It´s the longest castle in the word, longer than 1 km.

Go and watch the castle, you will find ancient parts and exciting history. Then go on the other side of river Salzach to Austria, there are two view spots to the castle. Bring you standard and your long lense.

Travel Information

The castle is easy to find in the middle of Burghausen. There are pakring lots directly at the castle, you have to pay for parking. River Salzach is the border between Germany and Austria. Make sure to go to Austria to Athaler Siedlung, there you find 2 perfect spots to take your pics of the castle.
