Schneealpe is not so known and visited as Schneeberg and Rax are, but it's beauty can compete with both of them. Autumn is the right season, but the spring with green mountain pastures full of flowers is it, too.

Travel Information

Short before Neuberg an der Murz take right turn and follow the road till the Bauernhof Michlbauer. Pay 8 Euro in cash (coins) to open automatic gate. Continue 7 km, first on asphalt, then on gravel steep road. Park your car on one of 3 parking places at 1400 m above sea level. The rest you have to walk on gravel roads and/or alpine terrain.
