The Erlauf Reservoir is a reservoir with a maximum water level of 779.4 m above sea level, located at the transition from the Ybbstal Alps to the Türnitzer Alps in the Lower Austrian municipality of Mitterbach am Erlaufsee. It has a storage volume of 1.4 hm³ and is fed by the Erlauf River. On the north and east sides of the reservoir, the narrow-gauge Mariazellerbahn railway line runs for a short distance, as does the Mariazeller Straße road. The lake is 2800 m long and 50 m wide on average, with a maximum depth of around 26 m.
