Austria View of Forchtenstein Castle

Beautiful view of Forchtenstein Castle, especially during spring when the blossoming trees add a unique foreground to the scene. A great spot for atmospheric telephoto shots in soft morning or evening light.

This photo was taken at 360mm on full frame. A tripod can be very helpful, especially in low light. Be careful with shutter speed when there is wind, as moving branches or blossoms can quickly become blurred. Telephoto focal lengths work particularly well here to compress the scene and bring the castle and flowering trees closer together.

Parking is easy along the roadside near the spot. From there, the viewpoint is quickly accessible.
