The buckle gate was probably built in the first half of the 16th century. Century as part of the city fortifications in Steyr in the area between Steyrdorf and Tabor (today's Gleinkergasse and Franklin-D.-Roosevelt-Straße). The Sgraffito jewelry, which is similar to that of the Innerberger Stadel, dates from the year 1613, a year number visible on the torbau refers to this.
