Azerbaijan Candycane mountains

This is a relatively unknown section of Azerbaijan. It is a spectacular stretch of landscape, with rock formations that are somewhat similar to the rock formations in south western USA. The red and white striped limestone gave it the name Candycane Mountains. It is right next to the road, so very easily accessible.

I think early morning could be great with the sun lighting the area.

Travel Information

It is easy to drive to, and you can park anywhere alongside the road. Some 4x4 trails will offer extra views, but can also be hiked up.
