Artur Bordalo was born in 1987. He is known as Bordalo II because his grandfather, the artist Real Bordalo — who died in 2017 at the age of 91 — was the first famous Bordalo artist. His grandson started out with graffiti, until he developed this very characteristic work that made him famous.

Several of his animal sculptures are scattered throughout Lisbon, part of the “Big Trash Animals” initiative. There are also pieces in Loures, Vila Nova de Gaia, Covilhã and Estarreja.
In 2017, he had his greatest success of all time with the “Attero” exhibition, in Marvila, which was visited by around 27 thousand people in the space of a month. Earlier this year, he had an important exhibition in Paris, the French capital.
The Iberian lynx is a protected species that has made a good recovery. According to the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests and the Ministry of the Environment, 30 cubs have been born since the beginning of the year in the Guadiana Valley.
