The Chobe Riverfront - the part of the Chobe River that stretches upstream from Kasane - is one of the most beautiful photo safari destinations. The 50-kilometre long and scenic riverfront is particularly known for its abundance of elephants and its fantastic sunsets.

Depending on the subject, a good telephoto lens or even a wide-angle for landscape photography.
Light intensity helps during twilight.

Travel Information

We stayed at a lodge in Kasane that offers game drives into the national park. The guides are trained and know where to go for good game viewing.

Dankeschön ... dies ist ein Foto aus 2017 noch mit einer einfachen Bridge ... Elephanten sind neben den Raubkatzen schon ganz besonders beeindruckende Sichtungen... insbesondere die große Anzahl an Elephanten am Chobe ist überwältigend. Änderungen sind natürlich ok :-)

So beautiful to see these amazing animals from that close I guess. I added "elephants" to the title by the way because that makes finding this spot easier and removed "sunset" because somebody else might visit it at another time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photo dear Birgit! Definitely on my bucket list ;-)
