Ilhabela in Brazil in the state of SP is an island in the north coast. It has plenty of beaches, very nice to enjoy a sunny day and take some beautiful pictures. It's a very old city (for Brazilian standards) and has some historic places too, with some pirates stories.

Better time to go is around April, May. Well, any time that is not summer. During summer is too crowded and too hot. Take insect repellent.

From São Paulo, take a bus to São Sebastião. To get to Ilhabela only via ferry.
