A short walking trail leads to a rocky point and is an excellent location to watch the sunset. Sun sets over Georgian Bay.

Photography Tips

The best time is sunset. Get there a little early to claim your preferred photo location as many people will come out to view the sunset from this location. Most people will leave as soon as the sun set but if you are patient and wait for a little while after the sun sets you may be rewarded with an incredible sky. This image was taken with long exposure to smooth out the water.

Travel Information

This site is located in Killbear Provincial Park near Parry Sound Ontario. If you are not camping in the park you will have to pay a "day-use fee" to enter the park. Once in the park, drive to the end of the road and the trailhead is at the end of the parking lot. It is a short hike to the point.
