The Skywalk is accessible only to persons who purchase a ticket at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. You will ride a bus from the centre to the skywalk, stay for as long as you want, and then ride another bus back down to the centre.

Photography Tips

Be prepared to deal with lots of tourists at this location. The best time of the year to visit is late fall (September or early October). Be prepared to deal with cold and windy conditions.

Travel Information

You will have to either pre-purchase a Skywalk ticket online or park in the lot at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre to purchase a ticket. The skywalk is not open to anyone who does not have a ticket. There is no parking for private vehicles at the Skywalk. Only buses are allowed in the gate.
