This light house built in 1876 is beside the Northumberland Ferry dock for the car and people ferry from Prince Edward Island to Nova Scotia. This lighthouse was one of teh last three on PEI to be automated.

As mentioned above this lighthouse is right beside the Northumberland Ferry dock so ideal spot to take a few shots well waiting for the ferry. There is plenty of parking near the spot. It is about a 45 min drive from Charlottetown. Cost of the ferry is Can$79.00 where as the cost of taking the other way of getting off the island is Can$47.50 on the 12.9 klm Confederation Bridge
