Canada Balancing Rock, Nova Scotia
Well-groomed 2.5-km trail and 235-step staircase lead to a platform with a view of St. Mary’s Bay and the Balancing Rock; interpretive panels, rest areas, picnic tables.
Called “Nature’s Time Post”, the Balancing Rock is a narrow vertical column of basalt, balanced on its tip; the most-photographed of Long Island’s striking basalt formations.

Photography Tips
You don't have many options for a unique viewing angle at the platform, so best to check the weather if you are around, like foggy conditions, to get unique photos. Sunrise might also be a valid option to get good light conditions.
