The original Lighthouse was built in 1850, again in 1864 and again in 1949. The lighthouse is one of 2 on the isle of Madame located quite close to the town of Arichat.

Travel Information

The lighthouse is about 10 mins from Arichat. there is limited parking on the side of the road, with a 100 metre walk to the Lighthouse. Be careful if you are driving in the dark as the road looks as though it goes right up to the Lighthouse but the road gives a dip into a drain so park in a small turn in on the road
