Lots of interesting foreground to be found, look for reflection when it's wind still. And with wind look for those spot where there is no wind spoiling the reflection, there are almost always somewhere.
A very big wide angle will make the distant mountains small, so find the balance between foreground and background.

Just drive from Jasper in the direction of Patricia & Pyramid lake, drive past Patricia lake and the restaurant and boat launch to get to pyramid island, there is parking available for 5 cars, but possible parking at the roadside too.
Expect not being alone, but depending on the season and weather it is possible.
