Either hike up Whistler's Peak from the bottom, a doable 2-3h 6.5km hike that takes you up 1000 vertical meters. You go around the backside of the mountain, once passing the treelike you are granted great views towards the North East, with alpine meadows. further up you reach the mountain station of the gondola and great views over townsite Jasper, the Athabasca River Valley, Pyramid Mt. and so much more. Easy access is provided by the gondola, which is rather expensive at (50 CAD roundtrip per person). Up on the mountain you usually find marmots and pikas and if hiking beware of bears which frequent the area.
