Canada Lake Abraham (bubble lake)
This is an extremely beautiful natural phenomenon of winter – frozen methane bubbles trapped beneath the ice-covered lake surface, layered upon layer, like nebulae preserved in time at the bottom of the lake.
As the lake gradually freezes, methane produced by the decomposition of underwater plants continuously rises to the surface, instantly freezing within different layers of ice, creating a unique "bubble lake" landscape.

Photography Tips
Best Season: Winter (typically December to February), when the lake is completely frozen and not yet covered with snow.
Get close to the ground, using a wide-angle lens(at least 16mm or even wider) to emphasize the layers of bubbles in the foreground.
Include the distant mountains and sky to create a sense of depth.
A tripod is required to help you do the focus bracket.
Come here at sunrise or sunset.

Travel Information
Driving from Banff/Lake Louise takes approximately 2-3 hours.
Roads may be icy in winter; a four-wheel-drive vehicle with winter tires is strongly recommended.
Parking:
There are a few roadside parking spots along the lake road.
Important Notes:
The weather changes very quickly; be sure to check wind speed and temperature before departing.
You will have to wear Ice Cleats, it is super slippery when you walking on the ice.
The lake area is very windy, and the perceived temperature is much lower than expected;
