Canada Schwatka Lake
The Yukon River is the eponym of Yukon. But it is also responsible for the name of the town of Whitehorse. At the time of the great gold rush, it had feared rapids south-east of the city, whose foam crowns resembled a galloping mould. In its place is now the held back Schwatka Lake, Hangar as well as runway for floatplanes.
