The gigantic volcano rises 1,100 meters from the bottom of the rock basin into the sky. The caldera offers endless photo opportunities. Other craters and the villages of Bangaeira and Portela, which were destroyed by the eruption in 2014 and subsequently rebuilt, are must-see destinations on Fogo.
