Difficult but beautiful old road to a 1930 tunnel with an amazing view to Catarpe Valley. Incredible rock formation all around you.

Photography Tips

The view makes the photo. But as you have mountains in the summer the contrasts with the shadows can be hard, and you should be careful with the sun. I had someone that knew the place, 4x4 car and water.

Travel Information

It is close to San Pedro de Atacama but you are alone, worthwhile this road to the tunnel, Garganta del Diablo, the ruins and the canyons at the far end.
