In Chile‘s Altiplano, on around 4000m elevation nature has formed this stunning salt lake. The beauty of the area is breathtaking (not only owed to the altitude).

Travel Information

Just over 2 hrs drive from San Pedro de Atacama. You need to prebook the admission to the national park (socairechile.cl). There are tours you can book but I recommend to hire a car as the way to the Salar is a photographer‘s paradise.
