On the Chilean Ruta 60, below the Argentine-Chilean border at the Paso Bermejo, there are two blocks of a total of 26 serpentines.

Travel Information

The actual Bermejo Pass at 3900 m has been closed for many years. The probably quite adventurous track spares a tunnel through the mountain, at 3200 m. On the Chilean side of the tunnel, Ruta 60 leads to the joint Argentine-Chilean border clearance for entry into Chile (the one for entry into Argentina is 15 km east of the tunnel).
