China Yao mountain sunset view lookout

This sunset lookout is situated at the summit of Yao Mountain, which with an elevation of 900 meters above the sea level, is considered the highest mountain within the Guilin city center and its suburbs. Once reached there, you can overlook the whole Guilin city from there. It's the best view lookout if you desire to appreciate the fabulous sunset, sunset glow, as well as the Guilin city night scene. So far, this view lookout is run by a private unit. The owner charges 10CNY each person for the entry fee.

It's a nice spot to take some sunset photos as well as the city's nightfall scene. I recommend bringing the tripod for taking long exposure photographs when it's getting dark.

As there is no public transportation connecting the city center with this photo spot, if you are staying in Guilin, you should take a taxi or hire a private car with a driver to get there and back.
