A view of the 220-meter-tall Piedra del Peñol, Peñol de Guatapé or the Guatapé Rock, from the parking lot area at its base. A total of 740 stairs lead to the top, which offers great panoramic views over the Guatapé reservoir.

Travel Information

About 80 km east of Medellín (2–3 hour bus ride from Terminal Norte). From the bus stop it's a 30 min walk or a short tuk-tuk ride. Parking is also available. Entrance to climb costs around 25,000 COP.
