the torre de manaca iznaga is an old slavery Tower. From here, the slaves were guarded at work and the Alarm were raised if someone tried to escape. from above you have a wonderful view over the whole valle de los ingenios.

Photography Tips

at the bottom the area is very touristic. busloads of tourists, souvenirshops, and so on. but from above the view is penomenal. but be careful at the stairs. they are not as good as they should be.

Travel Information

parking is for free, entrance to the tower costs 1 cuc. i'm not sure if you can get upstairs at sunrise or sunset. but i don't think so. the Tower is not illuminated, so better come at daytime.
