Cyprus Xyliatos Dam
A beautiful place in the forest of Xyliatos in Cyprus. You can actually walk around the dam (there is a path) and photograph the forest in all kinds of angles. Next to the parking spots there is a very small hill you can walk to the top of, where there is a nice view of the dam from above.
The road to the parking, where the pin is placed, is open so you can align your star tracker if you are using one. The Milky Way aligns perfectly with the mountain range in the background, especially towards the end of the summer.

Photography Tips
The road and parking is right next to the dam, so a wide or ultra-wide angle lens will be beneficial.
The Milky Way is to the south, but turn towards north to get a star trail picture with Polaris in it!

You can get there by car, it is a 25-30 minute drive from the capital city, Nicosia. Free parking is available.
