Czech Republic Hluboka Castle

The Hluboka Castle is the most beautiful castles of the Czech Republic. In the second half of the 13th century a gothic castle was built at the site. During its history it was rebuilt several times. It was first expanded during the Renaissance period, then rebuilt into a Baroque castle at the order of Adam Franz von Schwarzenberg in the beginning of the 18th century. It reached its current appearance during the 19th century when Johann Adolf II von Schwarzenberg ordered the reconstruction of the castle in the romantic style of the Windsor Castle.

For the best outdoor photos of Hluboká Castle, visit during sunrise or sunset when the light is soft and warm, highlighting the castle's white neo-Gothic architecture. A wide-angle lens helps capture the full structure, especially from the formal gardens, while trees and fences can be used for natural framing. On cloudy days, the even lighting adds a moody, fairytale feel to your shots. A zoom lens is ideal for capturing architectural details like spires and carvings. After rain, look for puddles to use as creative reflection elements. A tripod can be helpful in low light but isn't essential during the day.

Hluboká Castle is located near the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou, about 15 kilometers north of České Budějovice. Tourists can reach it by car, bus, or train, with regular connections from Prague and České Budějovice. From the Hluboká nad Vltavou train station, it’s a pleasant 20-minute walk to the castle through the town and park.
