Czech Republic Ruins of Choustník Castle
Ruins of Choustník Castle...
Choustník is a castle ruin about one kilometre east of the village of the same name in the Tábor district. It stands on the top of a dominant hill at an altitude of 660 m inside the Choustník Nature Reserve. The castle is a rare example in the Czech Republic of a so-called ganerbenburg, or a castle consisting of several cores that housed several different owners.
The castle was founded in the 13th century.
