Czech Republic Wilson rock

Wilson Rock is a dominant rock formation with a viewpoint and faint remains of Kokštejn/Kufštejn Castle, after which it was formerly named Kufštejn. The original height of the rock was 100 meters, but after the construction of the Dalešice Dam, part of the rock up to a height of 45 meters was flooded.
The rock is also used for rock climbing training.

Photography Tips

The best view is from a boat or the opposite bank or side rocks or camp.

Travel Information

• Access is from the village of Hartvíkovice along the yellow trail or directly from the campsite, which can also be reached by regular boat transport.
• You can reach the opposite bank from the village of Stropešín by following the cycle path and then turning north in the forest.
