Czech Republic Monastery Rosa Coeli
Ruins of the Premonstratensian monastery Rosa coeli. The first mentions date back to the 12th century. Perhaps in the second quarter of the 14th century, construction began on a new Gothic monastery church, followed by an adjacent quadrangle with a paradise courtyard, which was apparently not completed until the beginning of the 15th century. In 1703, the monastery burned down and was never substantially repaired. In 1926, the Committee for the Preservation of Monuments in Dolní Kounice was established, which initiated basic security and restoration work.
