Czech Republic Chateau Valeč
Valeč Chateau stands on the outskirts of the village of Valeč, in the district of Třebíč, near Dalešice. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1968. It is currently used as a hotel, a venue for conferences, weddings, and cultural events.
History: At the beginning of the 15th century, a new fortress was built on the site of today's castle, not far from an older fortress (now defunct – a rectory stands in its place). The property changed owners and was in a rather neglected state at the beginning of the 20th century. Since 2008, it has had a new owner who renovated the castle and turned it and the adjacent farmstead with a brewery into a luxury wellness center.
